Hi people!
Welcome back to my blog. We are still talking about fashion and art.
Common ground being a major trend,I decided to palce it as a base to my still life, it added a balance to my Vanitas version. But, I still needed a golden point to it. An item that stands out. I wanted to incorporate an element more than the colour scheme in my still life.
Going through all the amazing trends from SS19, I wanted something which is more than just about it. An item that is as everygreen as European baroque and Vanitas Art form, finally settling to that one trend which is as classy as you may know: The BOW!

The revival of bow trend in SS19 is so much more than just bow being used on a pretty headbands. Now we see classic bows in subtle shades incorporated in everything from powersuits to elobrate garmets. Bow can be as tiny as a motif of a earring to as extravagant covering the entire torso of an outfit.
Sharing with you a few looks from SS19’s runway where bows are the showstopper itself:

As a kid, I’ve loved everything pretty including cute shiny bows that always cheered me up. Whether it was one sequinned bow on my hairclip or a black bow tie from my elder brother’s tuxedo that I wore as a hairband.

The nostalgia of wearing a black bow tie on my head brought me back to the idea of using a classic bow as my object. And what else would be better than a classic and prestigious bow being added to beautiful amalgamation of art and culture.
The idea of adding a bow to a Vanitas still life gave me enormous possibilities to change my pronk theme from a depiction of Life and death to class that prevails all!
Having decided that, I had to use something to add the bow to. My bow was a classic piece and frankly, it would fit everything but here I had to think fashionably, because at the end, it all goes back to fashion for me!
Hope you enjoyed reading the blog and had fun seeing all the bow trends from SS’19.
See you next time!
